Lucia loved this time of day. 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The moment when class got out for the day. She liked the sleepy feeling that turned into electricity that she felt almost tangibly. Granted, that was all she liked about this time. All it really meant was that now it was time to do homework and sit inside while daylight faded over the snow covered land she called home. South Dakota had two colors, brown and white. And Lucia always found herself longing for the shade that it wasn't.
With a sigh, the blonde slid off her flats and pulled her boots out of her locker, her mismatched socks firmly on the floor. She threw her books into her book bag and shut the locker. Now, for the boots. They were old and worn, but still warm and still fit, which was why she had never bothered to upgrade. However, she always had a hell of a time pulling them on.
Lucia sat down on the floor, trying not to think about when it might have last been cleaned, with her back against the locker. She slid a foot inside and pulled sharply. Then she repeated the process on the other side. A grin flashed across her face as she hopped up. "VICTORY!" She shouted, grabbing her things. In Lucia's book, nothing was too little a thing for excitement.

Eli walked down the hall, with a bouncy gate. He was really happy to be out of class already. School was a bore, and he couldn't wait to finally relax. He was glad that he was a senior, he was almost finished with high school. But, then, there was always college. He shuttered, though he was quite smart, he dreaded anything school related, it just repulsed him.
He carried his single binder, the only one he ever carried, for all of his classes. He never really used his locker much, seeing as there wasn't anything that needed to be stored away in it. The halls had emptied fast, everyone excited to finally be out of class and on their way to go and do whatever they pleased.Eli wasn't sure what he was going to do yet, what he did varied on different days.
He either hung out with friends, slept, did random things, or tried to talk to Alessandro, all the while, failing as he did so. His little brother was just so complicated sometimes. With a sigh, he continued walking down the hall, his ears pricking when he heard "VICTORY!" He chuckled wondering why someone would yell that. He turned the corner and spotted his friend, Lucia. She had just stood up and she had a big, excited smile on her face. Eli walked over to her and smiled, "Are you okay?" He asked with a little laugh. It wasn't everyday you heard someone yell "VICTORY!" Plus, he couldn't help but wonder why she was so excited.

Lucia blushed lightly as Ari asked her if she was alright. She honestly hadn't expected anyone to still be here to hear her. Not that she didn't mind attention, she just felt a little silly. But her grin didn't falter. "Yeah, I'm fine, these boots are just a pain to get on, you know when your ankle just wont squeeze into the boot? Yeah, well, I got them on with little hassle so... yeah." She said with a little shrug. There wasn't much of a reason to be excited, but she was an excitable creature.
She pulled her backpack on and gave him a grin. "Need a ride home?" She asked. He was her friend after all. And it was far too cold to walk. But maybe he was going to pull some macho move and try to prove something by walking. Or maybe he had his own car, she didn't remember. Lucia wasn't spacey, or a typical dumb blonde but she just didn't have a mind for detail in that way.
She was not excited about the mountain of homework that she had slung across her back like a baby. It weighed just about as much. Not like she had a habit of carrying around babies or anything.
